This article provides the steps required to back up your data using Acronis on a Motion Tablet PC.

 

Solution / Answer

The latest tablets from Motion Computing come with Acronis True Image installed. This program is used to create backup images and recover data from these images.

 

Complete the following steps to create a backup image:

 

1.    Launch Acronis True Image.  This can be done two ways. One from the Start menu and the other by choosing the option to launch Acronis prior to Windows on boot.  Both launch the same interface

2.    Select Backup



3.    Click Next



4.    Select the partition to backup and click Next



5.    Select the location and name of the backup .TIB file



***If you select a location within the partition that is being backed up, this message is displayed.***



6.    Select "Use the default options" and click Next



7.    If desired, enter comments or descriptions.



8.    Click Proceed to start.



9.    The progress should resemble this:



10. Followed by this message:
