SigmaTel Driver/Application dcx12v16 Update

 

Update Description:

 This Motion Computing SigmaTel Driver/Application update is to be applied to the M1400 Windows XP Tablet PC.

 

This Updated release addresses:

Persistence across reboot provided in this Update

With this update the SigmaTel driver will now allow the system to take advantage of the C3 power management savings.  

 

Steps To Apply Update:

  1. Download the package and save it to a default location or to a directory location of the user’s choice.
  2. Double click on icon dcx12v16.
  3. Follow the installation Wizard.
  4. After installing the software, the Wizard will prompt the user to “Finish” with a system restart option. Choose restart and click on “Finish”. System will restart.

Note: If the user is running MS Windows SP2 upgrade, the Wizard will not provide restart option and after clicking “Finish”, system will not restart. The user will have to restart the system.

 

Details:

Note - Installing new C-Major Audio driver and application disables IntelliSonic DX control.

When the user launches the Dashboard after installing the new Driver/Application, there will be an error pop up “Knowles IntelliSonic Algorithm Not Enabled”

To prevent this message pop up, user must re-install IntelliSonic DX control prior to using Dashboard.

 

            The following are the steps to re-install IntelliSonic DX Control:

1.      Click on Start > My Computer.

2.      Double click on “Local Disk (C:)”

3.      Double click on “Windows”

4.      Find “Motion” folder in this directory and double click on it.

5.      Find “KnowlesAcoustics” folder in this directory and double click on it.

6.      Double click on “DxInstall” icon.

7.      On the next prompt, click on OK to continue installation.

8.      Agree the Licensing information. If the user doesn’t agree the licensing information, the installation will terminate.

9.      On the next window, choose “Licensed” for Installation Type. Click OK.

10.  A warning will pop up “Already Installed – Reinstall over existing Installation?”. Click on “Yes”.

11.  Click on OK on “DX Installation Complete”.

12.  Intellisonic DX control is installed and ready to use. To verify, launch Dashboard. There won’t be any error message pop up.
