Overview

The Dashboard is an application provided by Motion Computing to assist users with managing the features and functionality provided with their M1400 Tablet PC.

This release provides several fixes listed below.  Customers may not be experiencing any challenges with their current software, so it is important to read the “What’s New” and “Known Issues” sections to determine if this release is appropriate to download and install.

As with any software update, customers should first make certain they have adequate and current backups of their data before performing an upgrade.  Customers are also urged to create a Windows XP System Restore Point before proceeding.
 
What's New In This Release
Updates the Intellisonic interface (KADxCtl.dll) to achieve more consistent audio quality when recording from the built-in microphones using the beam-focusing feature.
 
Known Issues and Limitations
There are no known issues with this release, however in order to benefit you must install the latest Intellisonic Release, which is available by clicking here.  Please see the installation instructions below before proceeding.
 
Installation and Configuration Instructions
Prerequisites for the Dashboard 3.0.3.3 Update
The following Updates should be installed prior to installation of Dashboard 3.0.3.3:

SigmaTel dcx12v16
Intellisonic - Knowles 2.0.1
If these Updates have not yet been installed we strongly recommend they be installed in the order listed above.

Note: The Motion Computing XP SP2 release already contains the Updates listed above.

To install the Dashboard 3.0.3.3 Update, do the following:

Download Dashboard 3.0.3.3.zip file to directory location of your choice

Extract all files

Navigate into the newly created directory

Run Setup.exe and follow displayed instructions using the default settings. This will modify your Dashboard installation, leaving any non-default Dashboard variables in place.
