Intel 8.1.0.26 Driver and PROSet Update

Update Description:

The Intel 8.1.0.26 Driver and PROSet Utility update is to be applied to the M1400 Windows XP Tablet PC Edition.

This Update release provides:

• Enhanced Cisco compatibility including SSO (single sign-on)
• Enhanced driver performance

Steps To Apply Update:

1. Download the “Intel PRO_Wireless 8.1.0.26.zip” and save it to a default location or to a directory location of your choosing.
2. Extract all files
3. Navigate into the newly created directory
4. Run “Autorun.exe” and follow displayed instructions to install Driver and PROSet utility.

Note: With this update installed “Power Management” is now provided through the “Intel PROSet for Wireless” utility accessible via the Control Panel. On execution of the utility, “Power Management” can be found under “Adapter-> Power Settings-> Configure”. Adjusting the power management has been useful when operating the M1400 on battery while wireless.
