Overview

An abbreviation for Basic Input/Output System. On PC-compatible systems, the BIOS is used to perform all necessary functions to properly initialize the system's hardware when power is first applied. The BIOS also controls the boot process, provides low-level input/output routines (hence its name) and (usually) allows the user to modify details of the system's hardware configuration.

 
What's New In This Release
  • When system is in S0 state, charging current is adjusted to reduce thermal load
  • LCD Backlight default current is adjusted to reduce thermal load when system is booting
  • Max LCD backlight current is adjusted slightly to reduce thermal load while preserving system minimum display brightness specifications
  • Set CPU speed to minimize thermal load under DOS environment while maintaining effective boot performance
  • Added DOS over temp protection
  • Changed VGA BIOS Settings to remove TWIN option in Intel CUI
  • Fixed incorrect HDD Master Password function
  • Added HDD Password checking before BIOS A06 flashing
 
Known Issues and Limitations
There are no known issues at this time.
 
Installation and Configuration Instructions
To install the BIOS A07 Update, do the following:

Download the BIOS A07 file (LS800-BIOS00A07A.zip) to the directory location of your choice.  Unzip the file.  From the Motion Resources Program Menu, run WinPhlash and follow the instructions to upgrade the BIOS.
