* Tablet Edition 2005 is included with the free Service Pack 2 download.  If you have installed Windows XP Service Pack 2 on a Tablet PC you have Tablet Edition 2005.

Fixes in this Release

·         Changes the Wi-Fi Enable and Disable to match the native Windows Vista functionality.

·         Resolves issue in which Dashboard can fill the display if the Rotate button is pressed within one half-second of Dashboard launch.

·         Repaired action of pressing space bar to cancel Display Off feature.

What's New in this Release

·         Improves the Display resolution persistence through Docking and undocking events after setting up the Intel Display Scheme.

·         Adds command line parameters to allow adjusting display brightness using buttons.

·         Enables Auto-rotate option.

·         Enables Hard Disk Drive Activity user interface.

·         Adds additional safeguards for Extended Batteries with the Self-conditioning feature.

Known Issues and Limitations

·         Display resolution may not persist through a reboot in all cases. This is being addressed in the next version of Dashboard.

·         On some systems, the Connection Manager button does not start the Sprint Connection Manager and results in an error message. Start the Sprint Connection Manager using the desktop icon or the Start menu.

·         Although this version of Motion Dashboard can be installed on a Motion C5, it is not approved or supported for use on the C5.

·         On computers running Windows Vista, Motion Dashboard and Windows Mobility Center can get out of sync as to the presence of Wi-Fi LAN if you use the Disable 802.11 on Startup option. This is being addressed in the next version of Dashboard.

Installation and Configuration Instructions

To install Dashboard 5.0.1.7:

 

Download the Dashboard 5.0.1.7 (LE1700_Dashboard_v5017.zip) and save it to the directory of your choice. Unzip the file to a location on your local drive. Double-click the setup program and follow the instructions.

Note: Upgrading Dashboard will require you to select the “Modify” option in the installer.
