Overview

The Dashboard is an application provided by Motion Computing to assist users with managing the features and functionality provided with their L Series Tablet PC.

This release provides several fixes listed below.  Customers may not be experiencing any challenges with their current software, so it is important to read the “What’s New” and “Known Issues” sections to determine if this release is appropriate to download and install.

As with any software update, customers should first make certain they have adequate and current backups of their data before performing an upgrade.  Customers are also urged to create a Windows XP System Restore Point before proceeding.

** Please note that the Dashboard now has two views.  When first launched after installation, it may appear in a more compact, summary view.  Restoring to the full view is accomplished by double-clicking on the blue title bar.  You may use this method to switch back and forth between the two.
 
What's New In This Release
This release addresses the following problems with previous versions:

• Several reliability improvements
• Implemented new Display Schemes management
• Improved Thermal alert messaging
 
Known Issues and Limitations
Some customers may notice the file name has been appended with the letter "a" (e.g. LE1600-MCDashboardv3232a.zip)  A minor change was recently made to the installer however the Dashboard itself has not changed.  If you have successfully installed Dashboard 3.2.3.2 there is no reason to install this updated version.  There are no other known issues at this time.
 
Installation and Configuration Instructions
To install the Dashboard 3.2.3.2 Update, do the following:
  • Download "LE1600-MCDashboardv3232.zip" to directory location of your choice
  • Extract all files
  • Navigate into the newly created directory
  • Run Setup.exe and follow displayed instructions using the default settings. This will modify your Dashboard installation, leaving any non-default Dashboard variables in place.
