Fixes in this Release

·         Fixed several minor user interface bugs.

What's New In This Release

·         Added integrated help. Click the "?" icon on the lower-right of the application window to view the help pages.

·         Added logging.  Selecting the "Enable Logging" check box on the Connect page enables logging of connect/disconnect times and send/receive statistics, as well as other application run-time messages and information.  The log data is written to the file C:\MotionCM\MotionCM.log.

·         Added an application programming interface (API).  The API uses a new DLL (MCMAPI.DLL) that is installed along with the other application components.  Contact Motion Computing Support for information on using the API.

·         Added a bar graph to the MotionCM user interface that displays the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) values from the Gobi broadband module.  This graph will show the relative signal quality of the preferred carrier when a connection is not active and the selected carrier when a connection is active.

Known Issues and Limitations

  • Arrow keys used in profile list do not populate profile information.
  • SMS messaging does not work correctly for some European T-Mobile carriers.
  • SMS is not supported for CDMA profiles.
  • If the system is placed in Sleep, Standby or Hibernate modes while the MotionCM window is visible on the display, the background colors of the MotionCM window may not repaint properly when the system is resumed.  This can be resolved by minimizing and then restoring the MotionCM window.
