If MotionCM is exited while a broadband connection is active, a
prompt is shown warning that a connection is active and requesting user
confirmation to close the connection before exiting. |

What's
New In This Release |
|
|
·
The MotionCM application is now represented by an icon in the system
tray. Clicking on this icon will
display a context menu for selecting commands. Hovering the mouse cursor over this icon
will display information about the device, the connection and the GPS
status. The system tray icon itself is
an animated icon that represents the signal strength (RSSI) of the active
WWAN signal. ·
Clicking the Close Button (the "X" in the upper-right
corner) will hide the application except for the system tray icon. To completely close the application, select
"Exit" from the system tray menu. ·
MotionCM now supports receiving SMS messages when the profile is any
UMTS/GSM profile (at this time SMS is not supported on CDMA profiles). A button has been added to the Connect page
that will display the SMS dialog, which will show any stored or received
messages. ·
Several option check boxes have been added to the MotionCM user
interface to control application behavior.
These include: 1. Connect on program start 2. Reconnect after Resume 3. Minimize after connect 4. Minimize when program starts 5. Start GPS on program start 6. Restart GPS after resume from
Sleep or Hibernate 7. Minimize after GPS start These
settings are stored in the registry on a per-user basis and are recalled
whenever the application is started. ·
The currently-active profile is now displayed on the Connect page. ·
The graphic on the Connect tab button has been changed to be more
consistent with the graphic used in Dashboard. ·
Support added for CDMA carriers. ·
Support added for automatic activation of CDMA carrier profiles
(currently only Verizon). |

Up to 1 minute delay on resume from power
save modes before modem is initialized and ready (attempts to connect during
delay will result in error message) ·
SMS messaging does not work correctly for
some European T-Mobile carriers. ·
Serial number information, including ESN,
MEID and IMEI are not displayed for some carriers. ·
SMS is not supported for CDMA profiles. ·
It is possible to open multiple instances
of the SMS management window by clicking the "SMS" button on the
Connection page multiple times. Each of
the windows is functional. |

You must uninstall any previous version of the Motion
Connection Manager before installing this version. To install this software: 1. Click download to save the Motion Connection Manager
software (MotionCMSetup_V2301.zip) to the directory of your choice.
2. Unzip the file to a location on
your local drive. 3. Double-click MotionCMSetupxxxx.msi and follow the
prompts |
