J3500 AFFS+ with View Anywhere® Display

AFFS+ Technology with View Anywhere®

Motion is the first to combine the View Anywhere technology with the Hydis AFFS+ LED Backlight, wide screen display for superior outdoor viewing capabilities. This unique combination provides superior readability in direct sunlight, making it the best outdoor display on the market. The J3500 12.1" wide screen display delivers a natural image with the highest outdoor brightness available, high contrast ratio and minimal color shift. With a 180 degree viewing angle in both axis, this display also offers broader visibility. The contrast ratio offers a 700:1 ratio as opposed to 500:1. The J3500 display with a LED backlight gets ~20% better battery life than previous display technologies.

DuPont Vertak™ display bonding and adhesive technology also improves viewability in a variety of lighting conditions.

"The J3500 display's outdoor performance is simply superb. The perfect viewing angle from all directions means you never have to tilt and angle the tablet to see what's on the screen. The display itself absolutely excels in eliminating unwanted reflection or diffusion. Where other displays appear matte or milky or are overcome with reflections, the J3500's stays perfectly readable. In head-on, direct sunlight the display is still readable, here thanks to the inner reflectance of the Hydis LCD."

J3400 and Gateway Displays
The glossy Gateway notebook screen is surprisingly strong, but begins reflecting the background to the extent where it becomes difficult to see what is on the display. The Motion J3500 display doesn't show any reflections at all and remains perfectly viewable and readable.

J3400 and Toshiba displays
When moved into broad daylight, but not directly facing the sun, the Motion J3500 display remains unaffected and completely readable. The anti-glare coating of the Toshiba M700 turns the display somewhat milky and harder to read.

J3400 and Toshiba displays
In direct sunlight, the bright vibrancy observed on both displays in the shade is gone, but the Motion remains sharp and readable. It now looks more like a transflective or reflective display. That's because the Hydis AFFS+ LCD has a reflective area as well as a transmissive one.

From an extreme angle, the anti-glare of the Toshiba screen very effectively eliminates mirror reflections, but it also makes the display milky and unreadable. The Motion display is virtually unaffected.
