Motion Computing, Cubistix to Promote Location Analytics Software on Tablet PC

AUSTIN, Texas, Mar. 10, 2003 - Motion Computing and Cubistix Inc. today announced a partnership to promote the use of Cubistix's location analytics software on Motion Computing's M1200 Tablet PC. The initiative is aimed at vertical markets such as government and pharmaceutical.

Cubistix's software spatially represents information for effective business modeling and real time decision-making and risk assessment. The Cubistix software suite runs on Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, offering users immediate access to data from both front- and back-end systems using visual tools that do not require knowledge of complex querying languages.

"Cubistix location analytics software shows companies how specific geographic constraints affect marketing and risk management, and working with Motion Computing means that decision makers now have the ability to use our tool on an intuitive and portable platform which reduces the amount of training needed to get results while fostering collaboration," said Keith Armonaitis, president of Cubistix.

"Motion's award-winning M1200 Tablet PC meets Cubistix's need for ultra-mobility and power to support its location analytics software," said Kim Kasee, Motion Computing's vice president of marketing. "Motion's relationship with Cubistix will allow us to highlight the benefits of the M1200 Tablet PC and promote ultra-mobility within customer geographically based marketing analysis."

Motion Computing designed the M1200 specifically for busy mobile professionals who need more mobility than current notebooks provide. With a 12.1-inch XGA display that is 35 percent larger than a conventional 10.4-inch screen, the M1200 features a slim, clipboard-sized "pure" tablet design optimized for true mobility. Weighing less than three pounds in a base configuration, the M1200 uniquely integrates the industry's best hardware and wireless features with Microsoft's powerful new operating system, Windows XP Tablet PC Edition. The pen and voice input enabled by the new operating system, combined with today's applications, enable productivity gains and an uncompromised mobile computing experience.
