Motion Offering Enhanced Tablet Functionality with ritePen 4.0

Latest software from Ritescript will enable Motion customers to extend the productivity of tablet computing through blended multi-touch and pen features

AUSTIN, Texas – July 19, 2010 – Motion Computing®, a leading provider of integrated mobile computing solutions, announced today that it will resell ritePen® 4.0, the latest tablet input solution from Ritescript®, a division of Evernote® Corporation. The newest version of the ritePen software solution, called the “killer tablet app” from mobile computing site GottaBeMobile, ritePen 4.0 blends pen and multi-touch functionality with enhanced navigation features for even more mobile productivity.

ritePen enhances Motion Tablet usability by allowing users to write anywhere on the screen and easily enter text into any document. Users can quickly markup and annotate desktop content, take quick notes or automate routine tasks via handwritten commands. Advanced ritePen 4.0 features include extensive pre-built dictionaries, freehand insertion of shapes and charts and seamless data entry over remote desktop protocol (RDP) and Citrix networks.

“Motion is continually in search of solutions that help to further the benefits of tablet computing for mobile workers,” said Mike Stinson, VP of Marketing, Motion. “Users have reported significant productivity benefits achieved with ritePen, and now we can make the solution easily available to customers wishing to expand writing and input functionality.”

With Motion’s J3500, now with a dual touch option, users can take advantage of ritePen 4.0 touch capabilities. Blending pen and multi-touch functionality by enabling finger writing on a multi-touch screen and user interface control with multi-touch gestures, ritePen 4.0 supports pen and touch navigation and data input to meet many unique computing environments.

“Motion is a leader in developing mobile solutions built around enterprise slate tablets,” said Leonid Kitainik, General Manager of Ritescript. “Now, by offering customers the most advanced handwriting software available, Motion is further improving mobile productivity by enabling users to take advantage of both pen and multi-touch features in ritePen.”
