GCN: Top Tablets for the Discriminating Fed

July 2011 - J3500 Tablet PC. The difference between the J3500 and many other tablets is that this one is designed from the ground up for government. As such, there are extra features, such as a biometric fingerprint scanner that denies access to anyone but authorized users. It’s also rugged, up to the military’s tough rugged Mil-Spec 810G specifications.

GCN: Lab Review of Motion J3500

October-2010
The J3500 was able to score 366.7 on the Passmark Performance Test 7.1 benchmarks, so it can handle not only all office-related tasks, but quite a few more advanced programs such as Photoshop and speech recognition. RuggedPCreview.com - Motion J3500 Tablet PC Review

(Conrad H. Blickenstorfer, June-22-2010)
Motion leaps to the tablet front with Core 2010 processors, capacitive dual touch, Gobi2000, and more. Thanks to a switch to Intel's latest ultra low voltage 2010 Core i5/i7 processors, the J3500 offers substantial performance improvements while remaining as, or more, power-efficient. Perhaps even more importantly, the availability of capacitive dual touch technology offers the potential shown by Apple's iPhone and iPad without giving up on the very precise electromagnetic digitizer technology often required in Motion's target markets. Add enhanced toughness via optional Gorilla glass and more flexible mobile broadband and GPS functionality via integrated Gobi2000, and Motion's claim of the J3500 being the "most advanced and feature-rich" tablet on the market seems entirely justified.

GottaBeMobile.com - GBM InkShow: J3500 Tablet PC Review

(Warner Crocker, June-22-2010)
Motion Releases J3500 Slate Tablet PC.The dual digitizer touch and pen experience work very well. Inking is smooth as silk using the included stylus, and the two finger touch works well. Switching between the two input methods is effortless. Motion has included some Touch UI widgets to emphasize that they are paying attention to the current touch craze and they offer you a range of options on how to interface with the device.
