Rob Repass serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Motion Computing. He brings a keen understanding of financing strategies and start-up experience to the Company.
Prior to joining Motion Computing, Mr. Repass was a partner with TL Ventures, a premiere venture capital investment firm with a focus on funding early stage technology companies. At TL, Mr. Repass led numerous successful investments and represented the firm on portfolio company boards of directors. He also performed interim executive roles for portfolio companies on an interim basis, including CFO and COO positions.
Before joining TL, Mr. Repass was the Southwest Region Managing Partner and Practice Leader for the Technology, Information, Communications and Entertainment group in PricewaterhouseCoopers. At this time he was also the Office Managing Partner for the Austin practice of PwC and had primary responsibility for services to over forty venture backed and other high profile technology companies in the Austin area.
Mr. Repass also spent several years as the CFO of Ross Technologies, Inc., an Austin-based start-up which focused on design and development of cutting edge, RISC based microprocessors. Ross quickly grew to over $50 million in annual sales soon after its product launch. Ross was sold in a successful exit transaction for its investors to Fujitsu Corporation in 1993.
During his career, Mr. Repass has led services for over 100 equity financing transactions, including private and venture backed financings, IPOs and other public stock sales raising well over $1 billion in proceeds. He has extensive experience working with the SEC and underwriters.
He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Virginia Tech.
Mr. Repass lives in Austin with his wife, Jennifer, and two children.
